Calling All Artists!

The ‘Do You Know…?’: The Art Show

Spotlighting artists whose works raise awareness on issues surrounding mental illness and substance use, ‘Do You Know…?’: The Art Show illuminates and celebrates the power of narrative art as a tool for challenging stigma and discrimination of behavioral health issues.

Given the unique circumstances of the pandemic, The Art Show will be held virtually and a walking tour will be created. Accepted pieces will be reproduced into a high resolution poster that will be displayed throughout the Downtown Business District of Concord, NH.  If possible, original pieces will be displayed in businesses as part of the walking tour.

Submission Process:
Complete the Intent To Submit Form by 9/15/2020. The form asks for the following:
• A digital (high resolution) photo of your piece
• Your name
• The title of art work
• The medium(s) used to create work
• A 100 word or less written narrative on your piece in relation to mental health and/or addiction

Selection Process & Notification:
All submitted works will be considered by a jury made up of committee members, and evaluated on the following criteria:
• Strength of public awareness and/or de-stigmatization narrative in art;
• Personal dedication to the cause of public awareness and/or de-stigmatization.

IMPORTANT:
• All decisions of the jurors are final.
• If you are accepted, by submitting your entry you give the exhibitors the right to publish your images to create the virtual exhibition and walking tour; we will work with selected artists if higher resolution.
