SUMMARY:An Impossible Wife by Rachel Siddoway
DESCRIPTION:Two authors\, mental health advocates and regular family members join us for a moving discussion about their own family’s experience with mental illness and recovery – from the perspective of spouse\, daughter and caregiver. \nMitch Wasden has spent over 30 years loving\, living with and caring at times for his wife Sonja who has lived with bipolar\, anxiety and OCD disorders throughout. We talked openly with Sonja last Fall about her struggles with mental illness\, her family’s history with suicide and mental health crises\, her work to shatter stigma\, and how she created a life worth living. Now hear that story from the eyes of Mitch\, as well as his daughter Rachel Siddoway\, as they share how mental illness affects the entire family and their experience living amongst it. \nMitch and Rachel just finished traveling to all 50 states to share their message of resilience\, love\, caregiving and hope. The family has been interviewed over 50 times on news stations across the country including ABC\, NBC\, CBS\, and Fox.

SUMMARY:Orchestrating Change
DESCRIPTION:ORCHESTRATING CHANGE is the documentary film that tells the inspiring story of Me2/Orchestra\, the only orchestra in the world created by and for people living with mental illness and those who support them. Co-founded by Ronald Braunstein\, once a world-renowned conductor whose career was shattered when his own diagnosis of bipolar disorder was made public\, the mission of the orchestra is to erase stigma one exhilarating concert at a time. As they rehearse\, perform and prepare for a major concert\, these extraordinary musicians have no idea how much the orchestra will change their lives in poignant and powerful ways. \nJoin us for a discussion with Me2/ Music Director\, Ronald Braunstein\, Executive Director\, Caroline Whiddon\, a Me2/ musician featured in the film and the two filmmakers. \nClick here to watch the Orchestrating Change preview. \nThis event is free\, but registration is required. All registrants will receive a private link to watch the documentary  that will be live three (3) days before the discussion. \nRegister Now\n
