Rabbi Robin Nafshi

Rabbi Robin Nafshi was ordained by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 2005. She has been the Rabbi at Temple Beth Jacob since July of 2010. Before that, she served at two synagogues in New Jersey. She also worked as a Hospice Chaplain for a VNA and as the Community Chaplain for a Jewish Healing Center. Robin Nafshi was born and raised in northern New Jersey and graduated from New York University and Cornell Law School. After moving to San Francisco, she worked as an attorney, a legal editor, and author. In the late 1990s, Robin Nafshi realized her calling in her commitment to the Jewish people and Jewish life. In 2000, she was accepted to Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and joined her class in Jerusalem for their first year of rabbinical school studies. Rabbi Robin was selected as a Wexner Graduate Fellow, a recipient of a full four-year fellowship and stipend, while in rabbinical school.
