Choices Addiction Recovery Services provide help and hope to adults (18+) whose substance misuse is affecting the quality of their life. Our outpatient services are based on proven, evidence-based programs and are designed to support each step of the recovery journey.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • Family services, including intervention
  • Outpatient detoxification
  • Medication Assisted Therapy (for opioid and alcohol addiction)
  • Evaluation and treatment of co-occurring mental health issues (such as depression and anxiety)
  • Individual, couples, and family counselling
  • Court ordered treatment and LADC evaluations
  • Facilitated referrals for other services
Afternoon and evening programs enable most clients to maintain work, family, and school  commitments throughout treatment.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Choices IOP is a two-phase program that includes four weeks of intensive treatment and a ten-week after care component.

Phase 1: Four times a week for four weeks

Phase 2: Once a week for ten weeks

Our multi-disciplinary approach incorporates proven substance misuse treatment practices in an outpatient setting. Most clients are able to maintain work, family, and school commitments throughout the program.

KEY TOPICS:

  • The disease of addiction
  • Recovery skill development
  • Addiction and the family
  • Relapse prevention

Medication Assisted Therapy

Choices clients may use medications to suppress withdrawal symptoms during detoxification, and to help re-establish normal brain function and decrease cravings during ongoing treatment.

Family Participation

Our family programs help those surrounding the client to understand how addiction has impacted them. Family and friends are encouraged to learn more about the role they can play in the client’s recovery, as well as how to begin a recovery journey of their own.
