A Champion for Mental Health is an individual who has shown extraordinary advocacy, leadership, and vision in improving the lives of those affected by mental illness. Meet this years Champions:
Chris dedicated her career to advocating for behavioral health services for children and their families. Retiring in 2016, Chris mentored generations of therapists over her 30 years at Riverbend, while expanding service delivery, implementing evidence based-practices, and improving access to services for thousands of children, adolescents and their families.
A trailblazer in behavioral health/primary care integration for the state, Jeanne helped found the New Hampshire’s Citizen’s Health Initiative, which is working to improve the quality of our health care system, while reducing costs for all New Hampshire residents.
For more than a decade, Sharon has been on the front lines of eradicating the stigma of seeking treatment for behavioral health, while quietly supporting the basic needs of those living with a serious mental illness, in memory of and in honor of her sister, Beth.
