Riverbend to Honor Champions for Mental Health

Louis Josephson, PhD, President & CEO of Riverbend Community Mental Health announced today that nominations are being sought for the Third Annual Rainbow Award honoring Champions for Mental Health.

The award will be presented to one or more individuals who have been a champion for children, families and adults living with mental illness by:

• advocating for greater access to mental health services;
• contributing extraordinary time, talent or treasure to improving the lives of people with mental illness, and
• publicly giving voice to those with mental illness, helping eliminating the stigma and stereotypes that surround mental illness.

Nominations are being accepted through June 2nd.

Lucy Hodder, Esq. of Rath, Pignatelli and Young and Josephson will serve as co-chairs of the Selection Committee.

The Award was presented to Dr. Susan Lynch, First Lady of New Hampshire in 2007 and Christine McMahon, Senior Vice President for Easter Seals in 2006.
