President/CEO
Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc. is a mission-driven, comprehensive provider of community-based behavioral health services.  Affiliated with Capital Region Health Care, in Concord, NH, Riverbend serves a broad range of individuals and families with behavioral health and related needs.  We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of President/Chief Executive Officer.  Responsibilities include overall leadership and oversight of planning, administration and evaluation of all operations of Riverbend and its subsidiary corporations, including fiscal management ($24 million budget), contract negotiation, fund raising activities, and community/government relations.  Riverbend's President/CEO holds the title of VP of Behavioral Healthcare at Concord Hospital and actively participates in the planning and delivery of hospital-based behavioral health services and the integration of behavioral health services within the larger healthcare system.  Minimum requirements include a Master's degree in psychology, social work, public health, business or a relevant field; a clinical degree at either the bachelor's or graduate level is preferred; 10 years' experience providing or directing the provision of behavioral health services; 5 years' executive management experience; and experience diversifying and expanding revenue sources through a variety of activities.  Candidates must have an in-depth understanding of the regulatory/policy environment in which behavioral health services are delivered and funded; be able to relate well to persons who utilize behavioral healthcare services and their families; and must be willing to live in the Greater Concord, NH area and actively participate in the community.  Located in Concord, a small, family-oriented city just one hour from Boston, the White Mountains, and the Seacoast, we offer a competitive compensation package including 403(b) plan, medical, dental, life and disability insurance, and generous paid leave.  Please send resume and salary requirements to Angela Greene, Riverbend CMHC, PO Box 2032, Concord, NH 03302-2032 or to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Clinical Manager

Are you looking for a rewarding and challenging new position?  You may have just found it!  Riverbend Community Mental Health is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Manager of Children's Services for our Franklin, NH location.  Riverbend offers a great environment for clinicians to learn and grow, to be mentored and to mentor others, to provide formal training and to receive formal training (many with CEs for licensure), and to be part of an exceptional clinical team who has the interests of our clients front and center.  Responsibilities include providing both clinical and administrative supervision to a talented and dedicated clinical team of both community and office-based providers, program development, fiscal management, direct clinical work with a reduced caseload to blend well with administrative responsibilities, and being part of a strong management team.  Significant experience working with children and adolescents, their families, and children's system of care, as well as 2 years of supervisory experience is required. Office-based Psychiatric Nurse (part-time, per diem)
Riverbend Counseling Associates Medication Services is seeking a part-time, temporary nursing professional to work in a fast-paced, high volume, outpatient psychiatric specialty practice.  The RCA nurse serves as a primary extension of MD and APRN psychiatric providers.  Job duties include: triage, assessment, diagnosis, patient education, managing pharmacy and patient medication refill requests, obtaining prior authorizations, consultation, care coordination, and referral.  Familiarity and comfort with electronic medical records is helpful.  Practice hours are Monday through Friday, 8-5 with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.  NH RN license and office-based experience is required.  Psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
 
Licensed Clinician - Children & Families

Riverbend is seeking candidates for a full-time office-based Child & Family Clinician in our Children's Intervention Program (ChIP).  ChIP offers employees a wealth of opportunities to learn from and work with a truly talented group of staff.  An interdisciplinary treatment team approach gives all staff the opportunity to work cohesively and produce the most creative, cutting edge, and effective solutions with the needs of our clients front and center.  Clinicians at Riverbend are able to provide and receive clinical supervision, provide and receive formal training (many with CEs to support licensure), and to help support our mission of caring for the mental health of our community.  Responsibilities include providing high quality, evidence-based, comprehensive mental health services for children and their family members.  Clinicians provide clinical assessment, evaluation, individual, group and family therapy, and coordinate with schools, DCYF, and court systems. Riverbend also may be able to provide the opportunity to work in a school setting or medical practice for a day or two per week if the employee is interested, and also can learn evidence-based practices.  The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills, a sense of humor, and be a team player. A criminal and motor vehicle record release will be required upon hire.  This position requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Temporary, Full-time Custodian
Riverbend's maintenance department seeks a 2nd Shift Custodian for a full-time, temporary position.  We are anticipating this to be a 4 month position.  Candidates must be able to work as part of a team performing janitorial services at our various sites.  Job duties include cleaning both residential and office space, and periodic additional duties such as painting and moving furniture.  This position involves medium to heavy work, sometimes requiring lengthy strenuous activities such as reaching, bending, or lifting.  Manual dexterity and coordination sufficient to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment safely is necessary.  The ability to handle cleaning agents safely is a must.  This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 to 11:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.  This position requires one year of experience as a janitor/custodian in a commercial or industrial setting.  Applicants must have dependable transportation that is capable of moving cleaning equipment, a valid NH driver's license, and a clean driving record.  A criminal and motor vehicle record release is required upon hire.
 
Child & Family Therapist - Franklin office

Director of Training/Clinical Psychologist

Riverbend is seeking a half-time (20 hrs/week) licensed Psychologist to direct our APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship program.   The Internship in Professional Psychology program has been accredited since 1993 and trains 5 psychology interns each year. The director is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the program including selection and placement of interns through the APPIC match program, supervision and evaluation of intern performance, didactic intern seminars, financial management of the program, and maintaining APA accreditation.  This position requires NH licensure as a Psychologist, 3 years' post-licensure experience including experience treating adults and children, experience providing clinical supervision, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to be a professional role model for both staff and students. Teaching experience is highly desirable as is clinical experience in a community mental health setting.

 
Adult Case Manager
Riverbend's adult team in Concord is seeking a Case Manager who desires to become part of a strong clinical team.  We offer a multi-disciplinary team approach with treatment being recovery-focused, and promoting treatment self-management.  This position provides an excellent opportunity to work with and learn from a talented group of staff.  We provide an array of services and are looking for staff who want to grow, learn, develop new skills, and share skills and expertise they have.  The case manager works closely with consumers to coordinate treatment with their team, monitors and assists with benefits, and facilitates communication flow between team members, consumers and others. Excellent written and organizational skills, demonstrated ability to problem solve, flexibility, and effective time management are essential. Business Generalist
We have an opening in the Business Office for a part-time Business Generalist.  The successful candidate must possess excelent accounting, analysis, computer, interpersonal, and communication skills.  This position will support the business office by performing daily cash deposits, providing weekly and monthly cash balances for all active cash accounts, and monthly program reconciliations and reports.  Additionally, this position will code and enter accounts payable vouchers.  The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 12 PM.  An Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Two years experience with purchasing, accounts payable and/or general accounting in a complex and fast-paced environment preferred.  Experience with computerized accounting/accounts payable systems and excel spreadsheets are preferred as well.
 
Information Systems Developer/Analyst
We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Developer/Analyst in our Information Systems Department.  The successful candidate will assist with the current conversion of our Electronic Medical Record, and will provide programming, forms development and enhancements, troubleshooting, and general user support for the EMR, financial and other software applications.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years SQL programming experience in a Windows environment
  • 3 years GUI design experience
  • Proficiency in technical analysis of proposed application enhancements
  • Thorough understanding of SQL 2005 relational database design and structure
  • Proven application and database troubleshooting skills
  • Careful attention to detail
Additional skills preferred:
  • Familiarity with electronic health record processes
  • Familiarity with financial and billing processes
  • Training and experience in project management
  • SQL DBA experience (SQL 2005)
  • Work experience in a behavioral health environment.

Health Mentor

Riverbend's Community Support Program seeks a health conscious individual to work as a Health Mentor with the In SHAPE (Self Health Action Plan for Empowerment) Program. The In SHAPE Program is a comprehensive wellness program intended to improve the physical and mental health of adults with severe mental illness through health behavior modification. The program is also designed to increase self efficacy and community involvement.   The position's primary responsibilities include: supporting clients with exercising in the community, exploring alternative coping strategies for symptom management, providing exercise and nutrition education, completing fitness assessments, supporting clients with goal setting and progress tracking, grocery shopping, meal planning, and documentation of services. The Health Mentor position requires an individual with a solid understanding of the Stages of Change, S.M.A.R.T (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely) goal setting principles, health risk stratification, and at least a basic level of sound nutrition knowledge. Training in Motivational Interviewing would also be beneficial. We seek an individual that is a good role model of healthy living, energetic, a good listener, patient and understanding. This position requires an interest in health, nutrition, exercise, and physical well-being of adults with serious mental illness, enthusiasm and an engaging interpersonal style to market program to staff and consumers, attention to detail and good follow through. Direct experience with mentally ill persons is helpful but not required. A criminal and driving record release will be required upon hire.  CPR/First Aid certification preferred.  Candidates must have a personal vehicle, auto insurance and valid driver's license. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related human service field, a degree in a health-related field or 900 hours of experience.  Certification as an entry-level personal trainer is preferred with one or more of the following certifications: YMCA of the USA Personal Training Instructor, Personal Trainer American Council on Exercise (ACE), or American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

Staff Psychiatrist
