Growing up isn't easy for today's girls. They must maneuver in a world of pressure and fast-changing expectations. Media and marketers target girls and influence their behavior. But parents, teachers, other adults and girls themselves can learn how to handle these pressures and create safe spaces to grow.

Riverbend Community Mental Health welcomes Dr. Lyn Brown, Professor of Education at Colby College who will present Fighting Like a Girl: Reality vs. Myth and Media. Dr. Brown will offer valuable insights and strategies for promoting important conversations and helping girls make positive choices.
